🎙️3. Quick, High Quality Voiceover
Depending on the script length, you can expect your script back ether the same day or within 24 hours. Longer scripts (or if you happen to contact me when I’m very busy) may take a little longer, but you’ll know this before we begin.
If you do have something that’s urgent and need a quick turnaround, rest assured if I can do it, I will, and there’s not additional charge
🤩 4. High Grade Professional Home Studio
Having a good recording space is critical for professional voiceover quality, as is of course your microphone! And it’s good to remember that the greatest mic in the world can’t overwrite a bad recording environment!
Your voiceover will be recorded in a StudioBricks VO Booth, which are an industry standard for high quality acoustic treatment booths, blocking outside noise and creating a nice quiet space.
Microphone wise I have 2 Neumann mics, a U87 and TLM102. The U87 is gold standard and can be found in most agency studios around the world. This is great for crisp, clear sound.
The TLM102 is great for a richer warmer sound, often described as ‘buttery’ which I think is a great word to describe it. I tend to use this one for reads that are a bit more emotive, deeper tone.
💰 5. Realistic Rates
‘How much will it cost?’ is a fair question everyone wants to know. With voiceover, there’s just not a simple answer because of all the variables. But if we were to keep it super simple and say you had a 200 word script for an internal video, expect the fee to be roughly £200
I say roughly because whilst we have an industry rate card we use as a guideline, I don’t believe it’s always as simple as that.
Whilst I use the standard rate card I’ll base my rates on a jobs individual specs, as often it requires a different approach to the fee. Maybe it’s a project with multiple videos or maybe you know what the fee is but you have to fit to a budget. All these things will be discussed and considered
I also don’t charge additional fees for things like minor tweaks and changes
